GeniousSonu Site Checkup is free software released under the terms of the GNU General Public License version 2 (or, at your option, any later version) as published by the Free Software Foundation.

You explicitly acknowledge that WordPress installations feature complex combinations of hosting environments, PHP configurations, themes, server software (Apache, Nginx, LiteSpeed), and other plugins that may interact unpredictably.
3. User Responsibility: Backups and Staging Verification
Certain tasks within GeniousSonu Site Checkup perform file and server configuration modifications when you explicitly initiate a fix. These include, but are not limited to:
- Writing server rules into
.htaccessfiles. - Defining constants in
wp-config.php(e.g.,DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT). - Modifying filesystem permissions on core files and directories.
- Cleaning transient transients or database records.
You are solely responsible for taking and verifying a full off-site backup (database and all files) of your WordPress site before executing any automated or manual hardening fix. We strongly recommend performing all fix operations on a staging or development clone before applying changes to a live production environment.
The Developer assumes no liability for site downtime, locked administration sessions, data loss, or server misconfigurations resulting from applied hardening rules.
4. No Guarantee of Security Outcomes
GeniousSonu Site Checkup is an agency Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) checklist, audit, hardening, and vulnerability assessment utility. It is NOT a firewall replacement, an incident response service, or an absolute guarantee of site invulnerability.
Cybersecurity is an evolving discipline. Zero-day exploits, compromised third-party extensions, stolen administrative credentials, social engineering, and vulnerabilities outside the scope of WordPress cannot be prevented solely by configuration hardening.
Achieving a 100% score on the plugin checklist significantly hardens your defensive posture against common attack vectors, but does not provide an infallible guarantee against intrusion.
5. Support Scope Statement
Support is provided on a best-effort, community basis through our official channels:
- Reporting reproducible bugs in plugin code.
- Inaccurate check outputs or false positives in audits.
- Clarification of documentation and checklist rules.
- Compatibility issues with supported WordPress core versions (5.8+).
- Remediating existing malware infections or post-hack cleanup.
- Custom PHP, theme, or plugin development.
- Server administration, reverse proxy, or OS-level tuning.
- Guaranteed response times or enterprise Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

The Developer makes no guarantees regarding the uptime, uninterrupted continuity, or accuracy of third-party feeds. 7. Governing Law and Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Any changes will be published directly to this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the Plugin constitutes agreement to any revised terms.
